Today’s Thinspo Saturday is the lovely, healthy mom, Miranda Kerr.
The former Victoria’s Secret Angel is a beautiful celebrity mother who encourages a healthy lifestyle. She was married to Orlando Bloom and has the most adorable son, Flynn. Back when she was doing Victoria’s Secret, I fell in love with her. Her big blue eyes, her beautiful hair, her slim and toned body, and her fashion style go fantastic with her cute personality. What’s not to love about Miranda? She’s got everything.
According to Healthy Celeb, Miranda is 5’9 and weighs 117 pounds. She’s not that tall for a model. I think now, that she left modeling and had a kid, she’s put on a little weight. I think she’s about 10-15 pounds heavier than when she was modeling.
Her street style is absolutely beautiful.
Diet: Miranda says that she follows the blood type diet along with following the 80/20 rule. The blood type diet is based on your blood type and that certain blood types need to eat certain foods. Miranda eats organic, low-GI, high alkaline fruits and vegetables. She eats wild caught fish and not a lot of organic meat mostly only chicken. She tries to avoid junk food and eats healthy foods such as egg whites, fruits, veggies, nuts, seeds, juice, oatmeal, and avocado. She also drinks 2-3 liters of water a day. She eats 80% healthy and no more than 20% of the foods she likes.
Fitness: Miranda works with Justin Gelband (his list of clients is pretty long). Gelband says that Miranda comes to his gym about 3-4 times a week for about 75 minutes per session. His session focuses on toning and strength training. He says that he encourages all his clients to run on top of his workout and says that Miranda runs 2-3 miles once or twice a week. On top of this, Miranda says that she does yoga every day for at least 30 minutes and she also likes to mix things up and do some pilates, ballet, or go hiking with her son.
My final thoughts: Miranda Kerr is a healthy mom freak. She definitely only eats organic, natural foods. I think she focuses a lot of the foods she eats and she’s probably a little obsessed (more like orthorexia not anorexia). She’s been criticized for being a health freak and I honestly believe she is. All that “20% what I want to eat” is a media lie to believe she’s normal. I think she’s afraid to eat unhealthy food. She also looks toned so she must go to the gym pretty often. She doesn’t look like this because she ‘chases her kid.’ She makes sure to work out, but I don’t think she obsesses over working out as much as eating healthy.
